She’s having ossicular chain reconstruction in her left ear. She had it done in her right ear 6 weeks ago. It’s a big word meaning the surgeon places a titanium prosthesis in her middle ear to promote good sound conduction. The results from her right ear are better but not yet what we hoped for. The surgeon said that it can still improve.
Annie has a gifted photographic eye. They say when one sense is weaker we develop the others more strongly. While you wait, and we pray for her hearing to improve, this young lady has fantastic vision. 🙂
Thanks ladies. I can’t say she worked hard at that tree picture. She placed the camera on the tree trunk and shot upwards…but it came out so intense. She does seem to have the knack for it.
Thank you so much dear mamas for sending your love and encouragement. I start feeling anxious about now and have to stay calm for her.

Eight! My goodness. She is brave indeed. Hope it goes well.
Wow, now I know why you’re up early. Good luck Annie! But May 10’s a lucky day, so everything will work out. 🙂

Her surgery is next Wednesday in a week but I am still hopeful for her today.
Thank you, ladies.
As a mom, I need to talk through my anxiety about a n o t h e r surgery.
Is Annie your child? Best wishes to her today. Sending happy, healthy, get well soon vibes to her and to you.

I love that your haiku is about Annie. Sending lots of thoughts to all of you next week!
Hope all goes well next week for Annie, Jan.
Thank you Liz and Jackie,
Thinking of you and your daughter. Wish you both the best. Love the haiku and pictures.
Annie took those pictures. I really liked the tree one.
Every once in awhile, I shoo her off with camera in hand, and tell her to “go take pics for my blog so I don’t have to find one on the net.”
Best wishes, Jan. Love your haiku!
Your haiku is sweet, and I love that you posted pictures Annie took to accompany it. Wishing the best for next week!
Aww. Brave girl is right.
